Meet Me On Monday

This is my first time joining "Meet Me On Monday" by Never Growing Old and it's always exciting to do something new especially if it involves meeting new friends in the blog world.

Below are my answers to the blog hop questions.

1. How do you order your steak?
* I order mine medium well or well done. It really depends on my mood. Recently, I've been ordering medium well more often.

2. Are you superstitious about anything?
* Growing up in a very superstitious family, I have a few superstitious beliefs.
  • I would change directions if a black cat crossed my way.
  • If I broke a glass or bottle, I need to break another one to pair the curse. I think this idea comes from the idea that bad things come in pairs.
  • In Filipino households (refering to traditional ones), there are days meant to honor the ancestors. Before any meal is started, an offering must be made to the ancestors before anyone can eat.
3. Who is your best friend (not including your spouse)?
* My best friend is Rowena. We've been friends since grade school and became closer in high school. She now lives in Canada, and although there's some distance between the two of us, our friendship has ever become closer.

4. When is the last time you wore a dress?
* I think it was last month. I bought this nice, fall type of dress and wore it on a weekend when PW and I went for a dinner and a walk near the Potomac.

5. Do you have any trips scheduled?
* I am going home to Hawaii for the holidays. I can't wait because I miss the islands so much.

The North Face At Zappos

Brought to you by your friends at http://www.zappos.com/the-north-face.

It's not yet officially winter in the DC area but we're already experiencing freezing temperatures. Actually today, we're supposed to get some snow and I know a lot of people aren't too happy about the snow and the chilly weather, but I happen to love the sight of snow and the beauty it brings as it transposes the city into a real winter wonderland. Living in a four-seasoned area, I have to be prepared with the changing of the seasons.

For the snowy season specifically, I stock up on winter clothing and I happen to be a fan of The North Face. I've known this brand since my Alaska days; I used to work as a plant processor in Ducth Harbor and The North Face is among the most popular company that offers quality clothing line. If you happen to be a fan of The North Face as well, I bring good news that they're available at zappos.com.

The North Face offers a superb line of clothing for women, men, girls, boys including other accessories. Don't forget to check out their new arrivals, featured products, on sale, and collections sections. Right now, I am ogling at The North Face Women's Bellflower Bomber coat. It has great style and looks great; I think it will keep me warm and protected this winter season. I really like that each product on this site comes with a colored photo and an in-depth product description. This way, I surely know what product I'm buying and that I know I am getting a product that I really want. So what are you waiting for, shop for yourself now or get a North Face jacket to keep your special someone warm and cozy this winter season.

I Love Fridays!

I am so thrilled it's Friday and I am looking forward to our work holiday luncheon. After the luncheon, we're closed for the day so I'm heading for a little afternoon shopping. Then to relax and watch the show Holidaze at the Kennedy Center.

My day is just starting to get exciting!

And what better way to end this work week with a Boost My Blog Friday hosted by Design It Chic!

Felines Of Konavle Valley, Croatia

Konavle Valley (Croatia) is simply gorgeous.

Let's get to know Konavle Valley a little: Konavle Valley is a lovely area between the seacoast and the mountains that form Croatia's borders with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro. (Source: http://infohost.nmt.edu/~armiller/trips/croatiacircle.htm)

After lunch, PW and I went for a stroll to check out the Ljuta River and came to meet these beautiful felines.

Outlet

This year, I don't feel stressed about Christmas. Last year was quite difficult due to the house move and that I was unable to fly home for the holidays. Even before December arrived, my thoughts have been all about going home and spending time with my family. Atlhough I have learned to let a few things be. There are still some issues that really bother me, especially the chaos and show of greed being showcased by a wannabe family member. I still wish she would cease and desist. I mean, what can one do to stop another peron's greed? Jail perhaps?

Anyway, I needed an outlet, and I'm just checking through my list just to make sure things are in order.

Done
- Christmas tree is up
- Christmas cards mailed
- Plane tickets going home are booked and confirmed

Need to do
- Shopping list almost done - I still need a couple of giftcards
- Wrap the presents
- Mail a couple of packages
- Pack clothes for trip home
